I was invited to work for re:ceeve as a UX Consultant by Sergio Schuler, who had recently been hired as Head of Product there. To help me out, I invited Luiz Felipe, a friend that had also worked with Sergio before in RD Station.
The product is used by banks and financial institutions that work with debt collection to manage the operation, using automation to send communication and receive the debts payments.
The product had several usability issues, inconsistent UI, confusing flows and information, which was expected due to the fast shipping approach used to build things from the early MVP to the current stage. Our job was to redesign the main features while also building a styleguide to serve as the basis for a Design System.
Our first mission was to redesign the entire Dashboard experience and the navigation system of the product from insights collected by the product team, consolidated in a briefing document.
Our design process consisted of short iteration cycles after the initial Analysis phase, made of Ideation, Validation and Delivery. The feedback was constant, with weekly meetings and daily discussions in Slack.
The old dashboard version had several issues: data displayed calculated incorrectly or hard to understand, irrelevant information, mixed UI styles, hard to use, long loading times, and other related issues.
